Neighbors Helping  Neighbors

our Story

The Naches Heights Fire Department is an all-volunteer department that was formed in 1950 for fire protection in the Highland area of Naches Heights and the south lower Naches area of Yakima County. Naches Heights responds to approximately 125 calls per year; 70% of these calls are fires, while 30% are emergency medical.   Our roster consists of 22 members, 13 of which are EMTs. These members of the fire department, who are your friends and neighbors, pride themselves on being trained and equipped to respond to any incident within our district at any time. No matter what, our patrons know that when they call for assistance, our firefighters will always respond. The apple logos on our apparatus stand as a tribute to the farmers who helped organize the department more than sixty years ago.
